2. Collection and storage of personal data and their nature, purpose and use

a) By visiting the website

When you access our website, the browser installed on your terminal automatically sends information to our website server. This information is temporarily stored in a log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and automatically deleted after four weeks:

• IP address of the requesting computer,
• Date and time of access,
• Name and URL of the retrieved file,
• Website from which access was made (original URL),
• Browser type and version, as well as other information transmitted by the browser (such as your computer’s operating system, ISP name, geographical origin, language setting, etc.).

We process the above-mentioned data for the following purposes:

• To ensure a smooth website connection,
• To ensure comfortable use of our website,
• Evaluate the security and stability of the system.
• other administrative purposes.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1, let. f RGPD. Our legitimate interest derives from the aforementioned purposes for data collection. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of being able to draw conclusions about your person.

We also use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website. You will find more detailed information on this subject in numbers 4 and 5 of this data protection declaration.

b) When creating a user account 

You have the option of creating a password-protected user account where we store your personal data. The purpose of this is to make it easier for you to process your orders in a simple, fast and personalized way.

If you wish to create a password-protected user account, we require the following information:

• first name, last name,
• country, zip code, city
• address
• telephone number and
• a valid e-mail address.

In addition, you will need to enter a password of your choice to create a user account. This will enable you to access your account along with your e-mail address. In your user account, you can view and modify your stored data at any time.

You can also voluntarily enter your date of birth, gender, alternative delivery address and activities.

The data is processed at your request and, within the meaning of art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1, let. b of the RGPD, is necessary for the assigned purposes of contract performance and pre-contractual measures.

The creation of a user account is required in order to order on our website.

After deletion of your user account, your data will be automatically deleted, unless we are obliged to retain your data for a longer period in accordance with Art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1, let. c RGPD due to fiscal and commercial retention and documentation obligations or you have consented to additional retention in accordance with Art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1, let. 1 RGPD.

c) Placing an order as a user

If you wish to order products as a user with a user account on our website, we collect the following information:

• first name, last name,
• a valid e-mail address,
• country, zip code, city and address
• telephone number
• payment details, depending on the payment method you have chosen (e.g. credit card details or PayPal account details).

This data is collected

• to identify you as a contractual partner;
• to check the plausibility of the data entered;
• to process the payment of your order;
• to settle any warranty claims that may exist and to exercise any claims against you;

Data processing takes place at your request and is necessary in accordance with Art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1, let. b GDPR for the purposes indicated for the performance of the contract and pre-contractual measures.

Personal data collected for the order will be stored until the expiry of the legal warranty obligation and will be automatically deleted, in the absence of a storage obligation pursuant to Art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1 let. c RGPD referring to a longer storage obligation due to fiscal and commercial retention and documentation obligations or if you have consented to storage beyond this pursuant to Art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1 let. a RGPD.

d) When you subscribe to our newsletter

If you have given your express consent in accordance with art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1, let. a RGPD, we use your e-mail address to send you our personalized newsletter on a regular basis. To receive the newsletter, simply enter your e-mail address.

You can unsubscribe at any time, for example via a link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you can send your request to unsubscribe to [email protected] by e-mail at any time.

e) Using our contact form

If you have any questions whatsoever, you can contact us via a contact form available in the bottom right and left-hand corners of all pages of the website. To do this, you need to enter a valid e-mail address, your first name and the subject of your query, so that we know who has sent us the request and how to respond. You may voluntarily enter a telephone number.

Data for the purpose of contacting us is processed within the meaning of Article 6, para. 1, sentence 1, let. f of the GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interests.

The personal data we have collected for the use of the contact form will be automatically deleted once your request has been satisfied.

3. Transmission of data to third parties

Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.

Insofar as this is permitted by law and is necessary for the processing of the contractual relationship in accordance with Art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1, let. b of the RGPD, your personal data will be transmitted to third parties. This transmission includes in particular transmission to companies for administrative purposes and to ensure centralized customer management with regard to our contractual relationship, as well as transmission to transport and logistics companies for the purpose of delivering the goods you have ordered and transmission of payment data to payment service providers and/or banks for the purpose of completing a payment transaction. It also includes transmission to companies for the purposes of operational customer support, customer account reviews and product reservations. The data transmitted will only be used by third parties for the purposes specified.

4. Cookies

We use cookies. These are small files that your browser creates automatically and that are stored on your mobile device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit the site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device, nor do they contain viruses, Trojan horses or other malicious software.

The cookie stores information linked to the device used. However, this does not mean that we are directly informed of your identity.

On the one hand, we use cookies to make your use of our site more pleasant. 5. Analysis tools

The tracking and targeting measures described below, which we have implemented, are carried out on the basis of Art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1, lit. f of the GDPR.

With the tracking measures used, we want to ensure that our website is designed to meet the needs of our customers and that our website is continually optimized. On the other hand, we also use tracking measures to analyze the use of our website and evaluate it with the aim of optimizing our offering.

We use targeting measures to ensure that only ads based on your real or presumed interests are displayed on your device.

These interests must be considered justified within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

a) Google Analytics

In order to design and optimize our website, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). User profiles are created anonymously (see point 4) and cookies are used. The information generated by cookies relates to your use of the website:

• your browser (type and version),
• operating system,
• the referring URL (the site that linked you to our website),
• the hostname of the requesting computer (IP address),
• time of server visit,

and are transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where they are stored. Google is subject to the EU-US Privacy Shield, in order to guarantee an appropriate level of data protection.

This information is used to analyze site usage, to compile reports on site activity for the purposes of market research to help optimize website design and to provide this website with other services related to the use of websites and the Internet. This data may be communicated to third parties in the event of legal obligation or when third parties are mandated to process this data. Under no circumstances will your IP address be linked to other Google data. IP addresses are processed anonymously so that they cannot be traced (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings. Please note, however, that in this case you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

You can object to the collection and storage of data (including your IP address) for web analysis purposes at any time by installing a browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.

b) Facebook Custom Audiences

We also use Facebook Website Custom Audiences from Facebook Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). This is a Facebook marketing service that enables us to display personalized, interest-based advertising on Facebook to certain groups of pseudonymized visitors to our website who also use Facebook.

A Facebook Custom Audience pixel is integrated into our website. This is a Java Script code that stores personal data relating to the use of the website. This includes your IP address, your browser software, as well as the site from which you came and the page to which you are directed. This information is transmitted to Facebook servers in the U.S.A. Facebook is subject to the U.E.-U.S. Privacy Shield, which guarantees an adequate level of data protection.

c) GA Audience

On this website, we use GA Audiences, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View CA 94043, USA, “Google”). In this context, user profile data is collected and stored under a pseudonym.

Thanks to this technology, users who have already visited our web pages and online services will see targeted advertising from us on other external pages in the Google Partner network.

GA Audiences then has access to the cookies created when using Google Analytics (see point 4). Some data is evaluated for several devices at the same time.

In this way, we can analyze user behavior when visiting our website and then use it for targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising.

Google is subject to the EU-US Privacy Shield, so an appropriate level of protection is guaranteed.

The cookie is automatically deleted after 30 days.

If you do not wish to receive interest-based advertising, you can deactivate Google’s use of cookies for these purposes.

6. The rights of the person concerned

Your rights as a data subject are:

• Pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, you have the right to request information about your personal data that we process. In particular, you can obtain information on the purposes of the processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be communicated, the intended retention period, the existence of a right of rectification, deletion, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of recourse, the origin of your data, if not collected from us, as well as the existence of an automated decision-making process, including profiling and, where applicable, significant information on the respective details.
• In accordance with art. 16 RGPD, you have the right to demand without delay that we correct or complete your personal data that we store ;
• In accordance with art. 17 RGPD, you have the right to demand the erasure of your personal data that we store in accordance with art. 17 RGPD, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend rights ;
• In accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, you have the right to demand a restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as you dispute the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse to erase it and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal rights or you have lodged an objection to the processing in accordance with Art. 21;
• In accordance with art. 20 RGPD, you may request your personal data provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or require that it be forwarded to another responsible person ;
• In accordance with Art. 7, para. 3 RGPD, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time. Consequently, we are no longer authorized to continue processing data on the basis of this consent for the future, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 RGPD. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence or work or at our registered office for this purpose.

7. Right to object

Insofar as your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6, para. 1, sentence 1, lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR if there are reasons arising from your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right to object which we implement without specifying a particular situation. 8. Data security

All personal data you provide will be transmitted in encrypted form using the generally accepted and secure TLS (Transport Layer Security) standard. TLS is a proven, secure standard that is also used in online banking, for example. You can recognize a secure TLS connection by the s after http (i.e. https://..) in your browser’s address bar, or by the padlock symbol in the lower part of your browser.

We use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are constantly being improved in line with technological developments.
